Course Duration: 5 days.(30 hours)

Proficiency in Advanced Fire Fighting (PAFF)

This course prepares you to handle advanced fire emergencies at sea and meets the mandatory requirements for obtaining a Certificate of Proficiency in Advanced Fire Fighting, as specified in Regulation VI/3, Section A-VI/3, Table A-VI/3 of the STCW code 1978, as amended.

Upon successful completion, participants will acquire the critical knowledge, skills and proficiency to:

  • Manage and lead firefighting operations aboard ships,
  • Organize and train shipboard fire response teams,
  • Inspect, maintain and service fire detection and extinguishing systems and equipment,
  • Investigate fire-related incidents and prepare comprehensive reports.

    • Course Requirement

    • 01.Be at least 18 years old at the start of the training program.
    • 02.Have completed a Proficiency in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting course.
    • 03.Possess a valid medical certificate issued in accordance with STCW Regulation I/9, Section A-I/9.
