Proficiency in Security Awareness Training
This course covers the mandatory training requirements for the issue of a Certificate of Proficiency in Security Awareness Training as set out in Regulation VI/6, Para 1 & 2, Section A-VI/6, Para 4, Table A-VI/6-1 of the STCW 1978 as amended
In the end of this course, the participants will acquire the necessary knowledge, understanding and proficiency related to the security of a ship; including, but not limited to knowing the meaning of and the consequential requirements of the different security levels, knowledge of emergency procedures and contingency plans, recognition and detection of weapons, dangerous substances and devices, recognition of characteristics and behavioral patterns of persons who are likely to threaten security and techniques used to circumvent security measures
