Proficiency in Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
This course covers the mandatory training requirements for the issue of a Certificate of Proficiency in Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities as set out in Regulation VI/1 Section A-VI/1 Para 2.1.1.4 & 2.2, Table A-VI/1-4 of the STCW 1978, as amended.
On successful completion of this course, the participants will acquire the necessary knowledge, understanding and proficiency to comply with emergency procedures on board ship, take precautions to prevent pollution of the marine environment, observe safe working practices, understand orders and be understood in relation to shipboard duties and contribute to effective human relationships on board
Course Requirement
- 01Shall be not less than 18 years of age on the date of commencement of the examination for the issue of the certificate;
- 02Shall have followed Merchant Shipping Secretariat approved main course or letter of eligibility shall be issued by chief examiner to candidates, who met the requirements.
- 03Shall have a valid medical certificate issued in accordance with provisions of STCW Reg. 1/9 and Section A-1/9.
